The Pakistani (Shams- 63 years old) suffers from metastatic kidney cancer in the bone and lung, and needs medications for a year costing 67 thousand and 416 dirhams, and these amounts are above his financial means.

Shams tells his story, to «Emirates Today», saying: “I have been working in the state for several years, and the first place I worked was in Al Ain, and I had cancer two years ago, and my health condition worsened, and I used to go to treatment at Tawam Hospital.” He added: "The doctors revealed to me after the results of the medical tests that kidney cancer is spreading to the lung and bone, and they confirmed that I desperately need monthly medications, which I must take continuously without interruption." He pointed out, “The costs of these medications that I need per month are 18 thousand and 728 dirhams, and the health insurance card covers 70% of the total cost. They prevent the cost of treatment. ” He continued: “I am the sole breadwinner for my family, and I work in one of the private entities with a salary of 4,340 dirhams, which goes to life expenses and requirements for my family consisting of my wife and son (18 years), and I do not know what to do under the circumstances that I am instructing.”

He added, "My salary does not cover the requirements of my household, so I appeal to the people of good and merciful hearts to help me with the cost of my monthly medication."
