In the middle of last April, the Central Bank issued a circular asking all banks to maintain citizens working in the banking sector, and not to end their services or reduce their salaries, due to the implications of the spread of the Corona virus.

And less than two weeks later, some banks responded to the "bank" instructions, but in their own way, the way to circumvent the laws, and not to observe any social or humanitarian circumstance, and sent new contracts to a large number of citizens working in those banks, which are exactly "compliance" contracts, Or rather, contracts for "floating and fretting", which include reducing job grades to more than two degrees, while reducing salaries from 30 to 40%, and then giving the employee two options that are not third, namely signing or ending the service!

Quite simply, these banks believe that their validity exceeds that of the central bank, and they believe that the current crisis the world is going through in general is a means, and an appropriate opportunity that may not be compensated in the future, to get rid of the burden of Emiratisation that it was not convinced originally for many years, and was The procedures for appointing citizens have formalities only, in medium and minimum job grades, in order to obtain government privileges, and throwing ash in Laayoune, while higher jobs and remunerative salaries do not know the path of resettlement, and are rarely obtained by a citizen employee!

We do not deny the existence of a crisis, nor do we take away the right of any party to devise appropriate solutions to reduce its losses, but the banking sector enjoys full support from the government, and the state has put billions of dirhams in to the state to ensure its stability, and it is ready to pump more of it if necessary, and when the government did so, it was on Knowing and knowing the numbers of citizen employees working in banks, and she is aware of the financial position and general situation of banks, and because she knows that she is able to deal with the crisis of the "Corona" virus outbreak, without the need to end the services of citizens or reduce their salaries, a decision was issued by the Central Bank So, why did some banks not stick to sucking decisions? The central shelf is a sovereign government agency ?! A question whose severity exceeds the risk of ending the services of citizens in those banks!

It is a social crisis before anything else, and the termination of the services of an employee in this difficult time means, in short, the loss of an entire family, because these affected are mostly small employees, with low incomes, and the reduction of their salaries or the termination of their services means that they cannot fulfill their financial obligations, and then they are unable to provide The basic needs of the lives of their children and their families, so did anyone who made a decision in this regard think about the repercussions of these difficult social decisions that these simple people will face!

Was this the last solution to solve the current banking crisis? Are these banks really suffering their crisis due to the Corona virus, or because of their mismanagement? Is it the savings in ending the services of citizens in simple and medium jobs that will achieve the return of balance to these banks, which are mostly not equivalent to a quarter of the rewards of senior officials and members of the Board of Directors ?!

It is inconceivable that the junior officials bear the responsibility for big mistakes, which were caused by the owners of the high positions, after which the owners of the high positions will try to correct their mistakes, by ending the services of the young, without they bearing the result of their mistakes, and without anyone holding them accountable for their mismanagement!

Concerned authorities must intervene to protect citizens in banks, because silence on ending their services will open a wide door for it, and it will turn into something similar to "domino" in other banks, but will move to a large number of private sector companies, and even semi-government companies, and it is no secret that We know that all of them are now considering making similar decisions and steps. They are closely monitoring the situation, and based on the reaction there will be many subsequent actions. Are we ready to deal with another problem that is no less than the size of the Corona virus?
