Sting will headline the Space Songs: Through The Distance virtual festival this Thursday. The singer agreed to film himself in confinement at home to deliver a live performance for the benefit of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, in Washington DC.

The concept behind the concert is to illustrate "how the most extreme circumstances can allow us to deliver the best of ourselves," said Ellen Stofan, director of the Smithsonian, in a statement.
