Summary map on the situation of the coronavirus in France on April 30 (circulation of the virus and charge of resuscitation services). - MINISTRY OF HEALTH

France cut in three. Olivier Véran presented much awaited maps on the situation of the French departments vis-à-vis the coronavirus, Thursday. These maps, which will be used to "guide decisions" for the deconfinement on May 11, may still change by May 7 depending on the evolution of the situation. Thursday, about a third of the departments were in red, a third in green, and a third in waivers in orange.

Here are the three maps presented by Olivier Véran: 1. The circulation of the coronavirus 2. The saturation of resuscitation services 3. The synthesis of the two. The Minister of Health presented three cards. The first relates to the "active circulation of the virus", as a percentage of the infected population. There are eight main households in red: Paris, Val d'Oise, Nièvre, Cher, Lot, Haute Corse and Mayotte. For the second, on "hospital tensions over resuscitation capacities", the northeastern third of France is red, the center and the southeast are orange, and the west and southwest are green.

Other indicators taken into account

The summary card is constructed according to the following principle: if a department is red in one of the two categories, it is red in the summary. According to Véran, the orange areas of the summary map "are intended to switch between May 11 and green or red", depending on the evolution of the circulation of the virus and the saturation of resuscitation services.

The metropolitan departments must be decided on May 7 between "red" and "green". In the latter, a lesser presence of the virus will make it possible to organize a wider deconfinement. These maps are however only "indicators that guide decisions, others are taken into account", in particular the number of tests available by territory.
