Special Madagascar show in “C'est pas du vent!” For the first time, two RFI journalists, Anne-Cécile Bras and Arnaud Jouve, went on the ground with two Madagascan journalists to report on the protection of the environment in remote communities.

Publicity

This exceptional operation, which took place in May 2014, is the culmination of a training and awareness program for Madagascan radios on environmental issues which spanned three years thanks to funding from the European Union. More than thirty journalists from 13 radio stations in the north of the Big Island were trained by the Académie RFI-F24-MCD. At the end of this training, a competition rewarded six winners who each received professional equipment and two of them went on to report with the RFI teams. These are the shows that you will be able to discover this weekend.

Since 2003, the NGO Blue Ventures has supported Vezos fishermen on the west coast of Madagascar to help them better manage their natural resources: creation of a marine protected area, monitoring of the state of coral reefs, development of seaweed and sea cucumber farming, environmental education…

Report in Andavadoaka with Anne-Cécile Bras, François Porcheron and Mamy Harisoa from M3Fm de Mahajanga.
