Protect employees during deconfinement. An e-commerce platform will be set up by La Poste from April 30 to distribute masks for the general public, as part of support for VSEs and SMEs, Edouard Philippe announced on Tuesday to deputies. Many health authorities have in fact updated their recommendations on masks, the efficacy of which against the coronavirus is debated but which seem to play a role, at least to limit the contagion of positive people.

This platform will be set up to distribute "to those who need it every week several million masks for the general public," said the Prime Minister during the presentation of his deconfinement plan before the National Assembly. “It is a platform intended only for VSEs and SMEs. Agnes Pannier-Runacher will have the opportunity to specify with La Poste in the coming days the terms of implementation and operation, "told AFP the office of the Secretary of State to the Minister of Economy.

Wearing the mask "preferable" but not compulsory

The Prime Minister invited "all companies, when their means allow, to ensure that their employees are equipped". “It is a condition for recovery. The regions and the State will set up support for very small businesses and the self-employed, beyond the initiatives already taken by certain branches or professional organizations ”.

Edouard Philippe considered more generally that it was "preferable", in "many circumstances", to "wear a mask" as scientists now recommend, and assured that there would be "enough masks in the country to meet the needs from May 11 ”. Wearing a mask is however not compulsory, except in public transport and in schools.
