(Fighting against New Coronary Pneumonia) Patients with New Coronary Pneumonia in Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital "Reset"

China News Agency, Beijing, April 28 (Reporter Du Yan) The last two patients with new coronary pneumonia in Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital were cured and discharged on the 28th. At this point, all patients with new coronary pneumonia in Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital will be "cleared" and will be closed for use from the 29th.

Seventeen years ago, Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital built 1,000 beds in 7 days, creating the "Xiaotangshan Miracle" with the highest cure rate, lowest mortality rate, and zero infection of medical staff for "SARS" patients.

Seventeen years later, when faced with the sudden new coronary pneumonia epidemic, the 53-day renovation of the Xiaotangshan Hospital in Beijing has attracted much attention.

Since March, China's domestic epidemic prevention and control situation has continued to improve, but overseas epidemic situations have continued to spread. As an important international port, Beijing has dozens of daily inbound flights and thousands of people in the first half of March, and the risk of overseas imports has increased.

Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital was officially opened on March 16, and is mainly used for treatment of suspected cases and light and ordinary patients diagnosed by foreign (returning) Beijing personnel. From March 16 to April 28, the hospital operated for a total of 44 days, with a total of 2175 people screened, with a maximum daily screening of 394 people; a total of 54 cases of new coronary pneumonia were diagnosed, and 27 suspected cases.

On March 30, the first confirmed patient was cured and discharged; on April 28, the last two patients were cured and discharged.

It is reported that the two patients who were finally discharged were ordinary patients. Among them, an 18-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital on March 19 and was treated with antiviral therapy and integrated Chinese and Western medicine after her admission. Her vital signs were closely monitored and she was discharged from the hospital on April 28. A 50-year-old male patient Admitted to the hospital on March 28. After admission, the patient's condition progressed once. The lung image worsened and liver damage occurred. Oxygen and liver protection treatment, antiviral treatment, and integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment were added. Rehabilitation treatment was added after the condition was stable. Changes were closely monitored. Reaching the discharge standard, he was discharged on April 28.

"I am very touched, and thank you very much." The male patient said that he still did not know under what circumstances the infection, and it may be that he was infected because of a confirmed case on the flight back to China.

He said that Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital has a very good environment from medical treatment to the ward, and it must "live alive" after this treatment.

After the last batch of patients was discharged from the hospital, the staff entered the vacated confirmed patient area for terminal disinfection.

Lu Yiping, deputy director of Beijing Hospital Management Center and team leader of Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital, said that all patients with new coronary pneumonia in Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital will be "cleared" and will be closed for use from the 29th.

It is reported that during the operation of Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital, 22 Beijing-affiliated hospitals selected thousands of medical staff to provide "chief assistance" to more than ten specialties including respiratory, infection, critical illness, pediatrics, and Chinese medicine.

Lu Yiping said that at present the first batch of 912 medical personnel who were recuperated were all tested negative for nucleic acid, achieving the goal of "zero screening for screening and zero infection for medical personnel". (Finish)
