On April 27, Sun Liming, deputy director of the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commission, said that Zhejiang Province will strengthen laboratory testing capacity building. Before the end of April, at least one medical and health institution in each county (city, district) of Zhejiang Province has the ability to detect nucleic acids and antibodies. According to Sun Liming, except for individual counties (cities, districts) in Zhejiang Province, at least one medical and health institution in each county (city, district) has nucleic acid and antibody detection capabilities. By the end of May, all disease control agencies and tertiary hospitals at all levels in Zhejiang Province had testing capabilities. By the end of June, all the second-level or higher hospitals in Zhejiang Province that had fever clinics were equipped with testing capabilities. Sun Liming said that Zhejiang Province also actively encourages third-party laboratories to improve their testing capabilities, undertake testing tasks for key populations, and provides appointment testing services to the society to achieve a willingness to conduct inspections.
