【Commentary】 The Hong Kong Airport Authority announced that the Hong Kong International Airport has piloted the world's first "full-body intelligent disinfection channel facility". Users need to undergo a temperature test before entering a closed channel for a 40-second disinfection and sterilization procedure. The inner surface of the disinfection channel is provided with an antibacterial coating. Photocatalysis and "nanoneedle" technology can be used to remotely eliminate bacteria on the human body and clothing, and disinfection spray can also be used for real-time disinfection. This facility is exclusively for staff at the airport performing public health and quarantine related work for arriving passengers.
[Commentary] The Hong Kong AA is also testing the use of antibacterial coatings on all passenger facilities. The invisible antibacterial coating can eliminate germs. It is applied to the surfaces of facilities frequently used and touched in passenger buildings, including the armrests and seats of passenger transportation systems and passenger special cars, intelligent check-in counters and passenger check-in counters, toilets, passenger building seating areas, Push luggage carts, elevator buttons, etc. After completing the test in May, the AA will consider applying the technology to disinfection in the long run.
