This Monday, April 27, the Togolese mark the 60th anniversary of their independence. Ceremonies at a minimum in the context of a coronavirus pandemic ... 60 years ago, the Togolese celebrated Ablodè, the word in the Ewe language which means freedom, independence ... A freedom obtained after a journey different from that of the rest of French-speaking Africa. Because Togo had a special status, being like Cameroon a trust territory of the UN. Its history, its proximity to Ghana have also constituted a particular path to independence. To talk about it, we have the Togolese historian Adovi Michel Goeh Akué.
