It is noted that the epicenter was located in the Pacific Ocean at a depth of about 34 km, 96 km west of the village of Nikolskoye, Aleutsky District (Bering Island, the Komandorski Islands) and 160 km southeast of the village of Ust-Kamchatsk, located on the eastern coast of Kamchatka.

According to the regional headquarters of the Ministry of Emergencies, the earthquake in the settlements of the region was not felt. 

Earlier it was reported that seismologists recorded an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 in the Pacific Ocean off the eastern coast of Kamchatka.
