Since Monday, American viewers are weaned from their never-before-seen daily episode of Fires of Love . The mythical soap is stopped for the first time in its history, i.e. 47 years of uninterrupted existence. The producers of Fires of Love have announced that they no longer have any new episodes in stock because of the cessation of filming following the epidemic of coronavirus.

The CBS channel has therefore taken the heavy decision to broadcast old episodes, grouped every week around main characters or major intrigues. For example, this week, the episodes broadcast will be the best featuring Jeanne Cooper, who died in 2013, in her cult role of Katherine Chancellor. As the Ozap site recalls, The Young and the Restless is the most watched soap opera by day in the United States with more than 4 million viewers every day. French fans of the soap, many too, can reassure themselves: French broadcasting is three years behind American episodes. On the other hand, there could be a break in the supply of new material because of the cessation of dubbing sessions in French.

Still in France, Plus belle la vie stopped shooting on Tuesday March 17 in Marseille. On Friday May 1, viewers will discover a final unpublished episode before the start of reruns, which are likely to last at least six weeks. The last number shot is therefore the 4050th.
