On April 26, a "solar halo" scene appeared over the city of Hechi, Guangxi. Its appearance resembled a "spaceship" in a science fiction movie, causing citizens to pick up their phones to take pictures. According to experts from the Hechi Meteorological Bureau, the solar halo, also known as the round rainbow, is an atmospheric optical phenomenon. The conditions under which this weather phenomenon occurs are very demanding. This phenomenon mostly occurs in spring and summer, when sunlight passes through cirrostratus clouds and is formed by the refraction or reflection of ice crystals.
