After the fire, he was unable to contact an elderly couple living in a row house, and the police are checking the identity of the body and investigating the cause of the fire.

Before 2:00 am on the 26th, a neighbor reported to the fire department that a wooden one-story row house in Higashiyama, Hachiman-to-ku, Kitakyushu had a fire.

Twenty-two fire engines, etc. were extinguished, and the fire was extinguished approximately two hours later, but two people were found dead from the burn marks.

According to the police, six households can live in a tenement house, but currently two households, four people in total, are unable to contact one household's elderly couple after a fire.

The site is a corner of a residential area about 500 meters southeast of the Kitakyushu City Museum of Art. Police are confirming the identity of the body and investigating the cause of the fire.
