In the middle of the night on April 24, a trailer full of 30 tons of dried chili caught fire and burned while traveling 1,956 kilometers in the direction of Neijiang on the Xiarong Expressway. The scene was urgent.
At the scene of the incident, a large trailer with a length of about 17 meters was in the burning stage. The entire body was swallowed by the fire. The flames that were rising were about 5, 6 meters high. The dried peppers were scattered all over the place. The air was filled with a pungent pepper smell .
After receiving the alarm, the Renhe Street Fire and Rescue Station of Neijiang City Fire and Rescue Branch immediately dispatched four fire trucks to the scene for disposal. After arriving at the scene, the firefighters set up water gun positions in two groups to carry out fire fighting operations. Due to the inconvenience of taking water on the highway, the Neijiang Fire Rescue Detachment quickly dispatched a fire truck for reinforcement.
In the early morning of the 25th, an open fire was successfully put out. Since the dried peppers are packed into bags, smoldering still exists in the car after the fire is extinguished. In order to prevent re-ignition, the highway management quickly adjusted the crane to lift the trailer body, and the firemen cleaned the scene again.
