Earlier this year, the Couleur Art Gallery at Östermalm in Stockholm was burglarized. Ten sculptures by surrealist Spanish artist Salvador Dalí were stolen in connection with the coup.

- You would have liked to see these buses get stuck, says gallery owner Peder Enström.

But there are no arrests and the police have no traces.

- Right now we don't have much to go on. If we do not go further, we will close the investigation, says Stockholm Police spokesman Mats Eriksson.

Hard for thieves to sell the sculptures

- It's not any sculpture. We hope that someone will contact the police. There are no dozen items, says Mats Eriksson.

- It will be very difficult to get rid of them. All serious gallerists and art dealers probably pull their ears when it comes to people who want to start selling Dalí sculptures that do not have certificates, says gallerist Peder Enström.

In part, the theft was noticed in the media, but Enström also believes that the sculptures can be difficult to sell if they are in poor condition.

- What you could see on the movie when they leave, it's a pretty careless handling. And it guarantees that they have thrown the stuff in, and it can have a damn lot of damage.

He also says that two of the sculptures that were stolen were not in complete condition - then they are almost useless.

"I have to move on"

If the sculptures were to be found, they will not return to the gallery. Enström has handed over the certificates to the insurance company.

- It feels great when we have it out of the world. I can't eat this whole life, I have to move on too. Now you just want to end this.

It is now clear that he gets about 2 to 3 million in insurance money for the stolen sculptures.
