Nina Wähä's novel Testament was chosen by representatives of a number of book circles, who praise the story of how a family shapes their lives based on their father's darkness.

“I am very happy and proud and a little extra satisfied that it is a prize that is awarded by what I imagine are the bookcases, those who read so much and who read of desire. Testament was to some extent a very lustful book to write, because it became a kind of pent-up writing need, and that it is then noticed by the listeners makes me, once again, very, very happy, ”says Nina Wähä in a press release.

Johan Jönson and Khaled Alesmael also receive awards

The Poetry Prize goes to Johan Jönson for his Marginalia / Xterminalia, which the jury calls a "hypnotic twin work". They write: "Out of an unmistakable language machine, an irresistible flow of self-hatred, existential panic and delusions in capitalism ensues."

“My book is two books, published simultaneously and symbiotically separated. Both simple and fun and at the same time complex to read, I think, "Johan Jönson said in the press release.

Swedish Radio's short story award goes to Khaled Alesmael for A cloth bag with Damask print, which is an homage to love and Damascus.
