Jérôme Salomon, Director General of Health announces that France has 22,245 deaths on Friday evening. That's 389 more deaths than 24 hours ago. The number of resuscitation admissions is still falling.

France now has 22,245 coronavirus-related deaths. 13,852 deaths have been reported in hospitals, 82% of them in those over 70 years of age. 8,393 deaths are recorded in nursing homes and other institutions. This assessment represents 389 additional cases.

The number of hospitalizations and cases in intensive care decreasing

The number of intensive care patients continues to decline. However, it remains "very high": 4,870 patients in intensive care are there because of the coronavirus. As Jérôme Salomon, Director General of Health, pointed out, it is 183 less than 24 hours ago. Nevertheless, 155 new patients in serious condition were admitted to intensive care.

A total of 28,658 people are hospitalized, or 1,346 new admissions. This shows a "negative balance of 561 places", "good news" according to Jérôme Salomon. He also recalled that "the vast majority of cases are mild forms". 43,393 people have been healed since the start of the epidemic.
