At 17:04 on April 23, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake occurred in Changning County, Sichuan (28.42 degrees north latitude, 104.84 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of 8 kilometers. Immediately after the earthquake, the Yibin Fire Rescue Detachment dispatched 13 vehicles from Changning Zhuhai Avenue Fire Rescue Station and Gongxian Brigade to the scene for investigation. Rescuers found a landslide in Qindi Town, and no casualties were reported.
