Chiba City announced that seven people, including residents of an elderly care facility in the city, were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
According to Chiba City, 7 new men and women living in Chiba City in their 20s to 90s were all newly infected.
Two of them are women in their 90s and women in their 40s who live in the elderly care welfare facility "Costa Horizon Senjuen," where one female caregiver has already been infected.
Since all of them are concentrated contacts of caregiver women who have already been confirmed to be infected, the city will continue to carry out virus tests on residents and staff.
