“I remember Zayn telling us that it was his mom who took him to the audition. He didn't want to go there. And that's exactly what we saw from start to finish with One Direction. (…) There are people who are made for that, but Zayn, his thing, it is the musical aspect only. I don't think he likes what comes with it. He has to be careful where he steps. He likes to make songs, and they work well, but to play them, to make press and all these things of this crazy world in which we live, it is not his thing, explains Liam Payne to the Daily Star .
