Kanagawa 1 person killed 12 confirmed new infections including nurses April 22 17:17

In Kanagawa Prefecture, a man in his 80s who lived in Kawasaki City died on the 22nd, and it was confirmed that 12 new men were infected with the new coronavirus.

According to Kawasaki City, a man in his 80s living in Nakahara Ward, Kawasaki City, who had been confirmed infected on the 14th of this month, died at the hospital where he was hospitalized.

In Kawasaki City, 10 new males and females in their teens to 80s, including female nurses in their 20s, were newly confirmed to be infected, of which 1 is severe and 1 is moderate.

Also, 2 out of 10 people are likely to be infected at home, and one is also believed to be infected from a cohabitant sharing a room.

On the other hand, Kanagawa Prefecture announced that infection was newly confirmed in two men and women in their 60s at health centers under their jurisdiction.

Of these, men are hospitalized for moderate disease and women are asymptomatic.

Also, the prefecture clarified that the cumulative number of infected persons would decrease by one, assuming that some of the infected persons to date had announced the same as Fujisawa City.

According to the NHK summary, the number of infected people announced in Kanagawa prefecture has now reached 823, of which 21 have died.
