Expiration date of vehicle verification is extended until June 1st. Declaration of emergency Situation expanded at 17:58 on April 17th
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has decided to extend the validity of the vehicle verification until June 1st, in response to the expansion of the scope of the emergency declaration.
The vehicles that are subject to the new emergency declaration are 40 prefectures, and the expiration date is from April 17 to the end of May. It is about 2.3 million.
The expiration date will be extended until June 1st, including cars registered in seven prefectures such as Tokyo where an emergency has already been declared.
In line with this, for auto liability insurance as well as automobile liability insurance, the procedure for continuing contracts will be suspended until June 1.
