Governor of Aichi Omura to request leave independently From 17th to 6th of next month April 16th at 14:42

Following the spread of the new coronavirus infection, Governor Omura of Aichi Prefecture announced that from 17th, he will make his own leave request similar to that of 7 prefectures such as Tokyo in Aichi Prefecture. The period for requesting leave is until the 6th of next month, and the target area is all of Aichi prefecture.

In response to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, in seven prefectures such as Tokyo, which are subject to the "Emergency Declaration" based on the law, we are requesting leave for facilities where many people gather.

Under such circumstances, Governor Omura of Aichi Prefecture held a press conference with Mayor Kawamura of Nagoya City, and announced that from 17th, he would like to request a leave similar to that of 7 prefectures independently in Aichi Prefecture.

The period for requesting leave is until the 6th of next month, in line with the "Emergency Situation Declaration" issued by the prefecture on 10th of this month, and the target area is all of Aichi prefecture.

Requests include bars, karaoke boxes, pachinko parlors, live houses and more.

Furthermore, Aichi Prefecture and Nagoya City will provide 500,000 yen as a "cooperation fee" to businesses that respond to a leave request.
