Notre-Dame de Paris is injured, but Notre-Dame de Paris will get up. Since Monday evening (April 15, 2019), the whole world has been staring at the most illustrious cathedrals, badly damaged by a fire that destroyed a large part of its roof.

Publicity

A trauma for Catholics, accustomed or not to this majestic building, but not only. The images of Notre-Dame on fire, the fall of its arrow, only a few minutes after the evening mass, caused amazement. Mobilization is already underway to reconstruct this monument made famous, in particular by the work of Victor Hugo.

All week, RFI journalists have reported on this immense emotion across borders. Here is a summary of their work, the film of events summarized in 19 minutes.
