Okinawa Newly confirmed infection of 4 new people Conspicuous infection of young people New corona April 14 18:10

Governor Tamaki of Okinawa Prefecture announced that four new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. As the number of infected people in the younger generation was higher than in other prefectures, we called for refraining from entering and exiting restaurants that serve customers in the downtown area.

Governor Tamaki held a press conference on the afternoon of the 14th and announced that four new men and women in their 30s to 80s were infected.

All four are not seriously ill, three are in Naha City, and one is in the Chubu Public Health Center.

There are 76 confirmed infections in Okinawa, of which 6 are seriously ill.

Governor Tamaki said, “Experts pointed out that the number of cases of infection in young people is higher than in other prefectures. Young people are aware that they may be transmitted to people without knowing it. I asked the younger generation to refrain from going in and out of restaurants accompanied by customer service in the downtown area.

Also, as the number of infected people increased, securing medical personnel was an urgent issue, and we called on those who have worked as nurses and public health nurses to return.
