Coronavirus: Louis Vuitton embarks on the production of masks - 20 Minutes

From leather bags to fabric masks, Louis Vuitton has transformed its manufacturing chain. The luxury brand plans to produce hundreds of thousands of masks in order to fight the coronavirus pandemic. They will then be distributed free of charge in nursing homes and to second-line workers in the cities of the design workshops.

In all, 300 craftswomen and artisans spread over five sites are responsible for sewing these protections. These are non-surgical but approved masks. LVMH, which had already manufactured hydroalcoholic gel, has launched a new objective: to make gowns for hospitals.
