Arrested on March 10 and then incarcerated in France in a case of "child abduction" which she disputes, around the custody of her daughter, the Franco-Malian singer was finally released on March 25 for medical reasons after having started a hunger strike. Rokia Traoré nevertheless remains under judicial supervision with a ban on leaving the territory and could be extradited to Belgium where she faces five years in prison. It is the first time that she has spoken since leaving Fleury-Mérogis.
