Kitakyushu City announced on the evening of December 12 that four 0-year-old girls living in the city were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus. All four are family members and acquaintances of women in their 50s who were confirmed infected in the city on the 10th.
According to the city of Kitakyushu, the newly confirmed infection was a female employee of a restaurant employee in her 20s living in Kokura-Kita-ku, a 0-year-old girl of her daughter, and a younger than 10-year-old living together with her. There are four elementary school girls and a woman in their forties living in Kokura Minami Ward.
Four of them were female employees and family members of a 50-year-old restaurant employee who was confirmed infected on the 10th, and were examined as close female contacts and found to be infected.
All of them had symptoms such as fever at one point, but they have no symptoms at present.
Of the four women in their 20s, another daughter has been picked up at "Saburomaru Nursery School" in Kokura-Kita Ward since the 26th of the month when the symptoms appeared, and the nursery school will be temporarily closed from the 13th for the time being became. The daughter who attended this nursery school was tested negative.
Also, an elementary school girl under the age of 10 was wearing a mask at the opening ceremony held on the yard of Kirioka Elementary School in Kita-ku, Kokura this month.
Kitakyushu City is planning to investigate the four people's behavioral histories and close contacts in detail.
