During his daily press briefing on Saturday, the Director General of Health, Jérôme Salomon, announced that the number of deaths due to the epidemic now stands at 13,832, or an additional 635 deaths. He also said that the number of people admitted to intensive care has been decreasing for three days.

"A very high epidemic plateau seems to be emerging," repeated Jérôme Salomon several times. The director general of health announced that 635 additional deaths in 24 hours were to be deplored. The total number of victims of coronavirus in France therefore stands at 13,832 people.

Hospitals have 121 fewer patients in intensive care, the third successive decline. Jérôme Salomon spoke of a "clearing up" which seems to be confirmed and which will "relieve" the hospital staff.
