A newly infected case was found in a man in his 70's who runs a restaurant, Dish Sensui, in Mure-cho, Takamatsu.

According to Kagawa Prefecture and Takamatsu City, 13 men had meals for about 3 hours at a memorial service held in the prefecture on the 2nd of this month, and after 4 days they had symptoms of reduced appetite and general malaise.

After working at the kitchen in the restaurant for 4 to 6 days when the symptoms appeared, the man continued to have a fever of about 38 degrees from the 6th, so he visited a nearby medical institution on the 8th to give an infusion. But the symptoms did not go away.

On the 10th, when he visited a designated medical institution in the prefecture, he was diagnosed with pneumonia by CT examination, and a specimen was collected and tested. As a result, infection was confirmed.

The man was hospitalized and the fever had dropped to the 36-degree range on the 10th, but symptoms such as reduced appetite and malaise persisted.

It means that the man did not leave the prefecture for two weeks before the onset.

The prefecture and Takamatsu City are planning to have their wives and sons living with men and 15 employees of the store undergo inspections starting on the 11th.
