Xinhua News Agency, Hangzhou, April 10th (Reporters Duan Jingjing, Cui Li) There are many blue waves and green mountains, and Hangzhou on the West Lake enters "Spring Time". The Baozhu Tower, which stands on the north bank of West Lake in Hangzhou, has also recently completed maintenance and is about to appear "healed".

This ancient pagoda was originally built more than a thousand years ago. In 2013, Baochu Pagoda was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit.

In October last year, due to the partial tilt of the top of the tower brake, Baochu Tower underwent "closed door" maintenance for nearly half a year. "Through our on-site investigation and analysis of the damaged traces, it is speculated that the tilt of the tower brake may be due to the weathering of the spire and the external force of the kite line." Tian Qiang, senior engineer of Yuemiao Management Office, said.

In order to restore this "national treasure" cultural relic, experts from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Zhejiang Provincial Museum, Zhejiang Ancient Architectural Design and Research Institute, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou Garden Heritage Bureau and other cultural remediation experts conducted a "joint consultation."

The domestic cultural relics protection authority and relevant experts from the Chinese Cultural Heritage Research Institute guided the implementation of the tower brake top removal, conducted X-ray flaw detection analysis and three-dimensional digital scanning, and provided data support for the repair and restoration of inclined parts.

When the tower brake was unloaded, experts found that the brake tip was also engraved with scriptures, "Although the damage to the tower brake is not optimistic, it also reflects the high level of Chinese bronze casting technology-on the thin copper skin. "The scriptures are imprinted." Ma Jingyu, an expert from the Chinese Cultural Heritage Research Institute, said, "The existing state of the copper component of Tasha is extremely fragile and needs local reinforcement. At the same time, the scriptures on it cannot be damaged."

After nearly 4 months of targeted "closed-door" restoration, the Tasha Bazaar has completed restoration and restoration work before the Lunar New Year this year.

"The removal of the scaffolding means that the implementation of the maintenance work of the Baochu Tower has been completed. However, because of the epidemic situation, the demolition work has been affected to a certain extent." Xu Lili, a staff member of the Yuemiao Management Office, said, "After the scaffolding is completely removed, the closed area needs to be renovated. Work, such as greening and reorganization and environmental restoration, will be reopened at the end of April at the latest.
