Why are these young people who have become wealthy because of demolition?

Sun Zhidong (pseudonym), a 28-year-old boy from Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu, did not expect to fall into such a "trap". After graduating from college, he successfully married and had children. Later, the old house was demolished and two houses were built. The family situation became more generous, but he suddenly felt that life was not motivated and "always felt that he lacked excitement."

After a meeting of elementary school students, the students invited Sun Zhidong to join in the game and play Mahjong. Since then, it has become the norm for these people to have dinner and gambling.

Relying on the rich family background, Sun Zhidong shot generously. There are losses and wins in gambling, but he always feels bad luck and loses more than he wins. Even if all the money he brought with him was lost, he still didn't want to stop, trying to win back with a few more bets.

At this time, enthusiastic brand friend Du Yong (pseudonym) always appeared in time, claiming that he had more money, and let Sun Zhidong continue to play cards after signing the loan statement.

Two months later, Sun Zhidong suddenly discovered that the debt has reached 660,000 yuan. What shocked him even more was that he borrowed loan sharks. However, Du Yong never said in detail that every time Sun Zhidong became addicted, he did not think much about it.

Facing the panicked Sun Zhidong, Du Yong told him, "Don't rush to repay the gambling debts due, or try luck with me in Macau, maybe you can make a big profit and you can pay off the gambling debts."

At that time, his family was very dissatisfied with Sun Zhidong's repeated failure to return home at night. If you know that you have lost so much money, I am afraid it will trigger a larger family conflict.

Despite some regrets, he decided to go to Macau to gamble. So he borrowed 420,000 yuan to Macau with high interest. In the VIP room designated by Du Yong, Sun Zhidong lost his chips on the first day.

At this time, Du Yong urged the total debt of more than 1 million yuan to be returned as soon as possible, and calculated a high amount of interest per day. He also forged a loan contract for the turnover of business funds and forced Sun Zhidong to sign.

Unable to raise "debt" in time, Sun Zhidong tried his best to avoid it. However, his family was frequently intimidated, and even his father was beaten by Du Yong and others, causing minor injuries.

Although he wanted to call the police, the other party threatened his son's safety and Sun Zhidong could only succumb. He obeyed Du Yong's arrangement to transfer his house to be relocated to Du Yong at a price lower than the market price of 200,000 yuan, and the money he received was used to pay off gambling debts.

In the course of handling other cases, the public security organ pulled out this 16-person criminal syndicate. After investigation, the criminal gang headed by Du Yong has targeted the "demolition of the second generation" like Sun Zhidong from the beginning. They wandered to the demolition community to inquire, acquaintance introduction and other methods to pinpoint the target of getting rich because of demolition, lure them to participate in gambling, and gradually induce them to slowly enter their carefully designed "traps".

In November 2019, the People ’s Procuratorate of Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province prosecuted the 16-person criminal force led by Du Yong to the court on charges of extortion and provocation.

It is worth noting that since 2018, the Zhangjiagang City People's Procuratorate has handled 16 cases of 42 persons, involving various crimes such as gambling, fraud, extortion, and provoking troubles. There have been many criminal facts and extortion targets directed at each other's real estate. Most of them are the second generation of demolition like Sun Zhidong.

The so-called "demolition of the second generation" refers to the young people who became rich because the previous generation's houses were compensated for demolition. At a young age, he had millions of yuan of property, and some "second-generation demolition" became easy and laborious, pursued pleasure, and no longer focused on personal moral cultivation.

On April 2, Zhang Wei, the procurator of the Zhangjiagang People's Procuratorate, told the China Youth Daily · China Youth Daily that these "demolition of the second generation" experienced demolition and became rich overnight, and their attitudes changed, becoming the eyes of some people who do not have good intentions. "Tang Monk Meat". These people, by setting up gambling bureaus and other methods, entice the "demolition of the second generation" to participate in gambling debts, and then carry out extortion.

According to Zhang Wei, the starting point for "tackling key issues" is the seemingly ordinary dinner and wine court. First, they will draw together a set of food, drink and fun sets, and then they will try their luck and "gambling" a few.

As a matter of fact, these gambling games are also very door-to-door, with all kinds of cheating and gambling methods available. The criminal organization appears, and everyone has a role division: there are "advisers" who specialize in persuading people to gamble, there are "gamblers" and "hookers" who specialize in gambling with people, and there are "watchers" watching or peeking around. There are also various props such as pinhole cameras, contact lenses, and remote control dice.

In the face of a "team" with a clear division of labor and complete equipment, the vast majority of "demolition of the second generation" have repeatedly gambled and lost, and the more they lose, the more they lose.

It is understood that Du Yong's gang only used fraudulent gambling to defraud the victims of money to reach 944,000 yuan. In addition, many times, gambling debts appear in the form of debit notes, amounting to 1.821 million yuan.

Zhang Wei said that when the victims were unable to repay their gambling debts, these people pretended to postpone the debt repayment and contacted them proactively to help them with documents, purchase air tickets, arrange room and board, contact casinos, and lend gambling funds to provide "outbound gambling" services. This is to further "control" to achieve the purpose of coercion, and at the same time provide a "customer source" for Macau casinos and extract generous commissions.

In another case involving Lin and others suspected of extortion by the Zhangjiagang People's Procuratorate, Lin even opened a gambling "workshop" in Macau and obtained a huge "rebate" in the name of an additional 10% service charge for gambling.

In reality, the "Macau Tour" has caused many young people to owe huge amounts of gambling debts. At this time, the criminal gang changed their enthusiasm and forced to sign false sales contracts and loan contracts.

Zhang Wei said that most criminals are also "linked" to guarantee companies and microfinance companies. They are very "proficient" in how to circumvent legal responsibilities in lending business. All lending relationships have formally legal debits and bank runs. To make illegal gambling debts “wash out”, it is also difficult to legally determine “illegal”.

In reality, unless the victim's family can come up with huge sums of money, the criminal gang will exert pressure on the victim's family through various means such as smashing and robbing to force them to sign a property mortgage agreement to snatch the property below the market price.

"These cases are suspected of blackmail, extortion and trouble-making and other criminal acts, which not only damage the economic interests and safety of these demolition families, but also seriously disrupt the social order." Zhang Wei said.

It is understood that in recent years, the Zhangjiagang People ’s Procuratorate has severely cracked down on such criminal acts in accordance with the law, and has issued inspection suggestions on strengthening building management to relevant regions and departments, especially for new gambling hidden areas such as hotels, office buildings, private houses, and private factories. To promote unannounced unannounced visits to communities, streets and other organizations, unblock reporting channels, and punish and clean up according to law.

Zhang Wei suggested that grassroots organizations and public security organs in areas where demolition households live concentrated should promptly arrange good gambling personnel in the area, make relevant "accounts", and discover problems in a timely manner. Relevant units can also use "big data" analysis to conduct risk research and judgment on abnormal and frequent bank runs and the sale of real estate, vehicles, etc., and find that the signs are promptly disposed of.

Wang Youyan, director of the Political Department of the People ’s Procuratorate of Zhangjiagang City, believes that strengthening the ideological education of young people should always unremittingly guide them to establish a correct outlook on life and values, and consciously keep away from bad habits and bad habits.
