Tokyo Disclosure of specific business types and types of facilities and request for leave cooperation April 16 4:16

To prevent the spread of the new type of coronavirus, Tokyo will announce on October 10 the specific business types and types of facilities that require cooperation such as leave of absence. Requests for cooperation are being finalized to include closing business hours at internet cafes and pachinko parlors, as well as shortening business hours and serving alcohol at restaurants, including izakayas.

As the government declared its state of emergency, Governor Koike of Tokyo met with the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Rehabilitation Nishimura on the evening of September 9 to discuss the request for business operators to close.

As a result, the Metropolitan Government has requested business operators to cooperate on leave, etc., based on the law.

On the afternoon of the 10th, Governor Koike will hold a press conference and announce specific business formats and types of facilities.

According to the people involved, some of the people requesting cooperation will be closed at internet cafes, pachinko parlors, etc., and restaurants, including izakaya, will be open from 5 am to 8 pm, and will serve alcohol. It means that we are making final adjustments in a direction that includes the time to do until 7 p.m.

On the other hand, the necessities for maintaining social life, such as the necessities of department stores and home centers, and barber shops were not included.

The capital is also considering providing "cooperation money" to businesses that respond to the request for cooperation, and is proceeding with close discussions on the amount of money.

Such a request for cooperation is a measure that can be independently implemented by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government even if a declaration of emergency has not been issued. I want to implement it from the 11th at the latest.
