An international team of scientists has declared that the reason behind the emergence of new types of viruses is the negative human exploitation of wildlife, which can lead to the spread of various epidemics.

According to the magazine "Royal Society Publishing", scientists have linked the destruction of wildlife by humans with the emergence and spread of new infectious diseases.

Scientists added that viruses initially attack animals, but they can often mutate and adapt to life in the human body, and that the emergence of new deadly viruses is due to the forced displacement of various types of animals due to overfishing.

Comparing data published before 2013 about wildlife viruses that have adapted to humans, scientists note that the epidemic is mostly spread by mammals, and in particular, domestic animals, the viruses spread eight times more than wild animals.

Scientists have also declared that bats, rodents and primates are also a typical carrier of animal infection.

Despite the fact that urbanization and human activities have reduced the diversity of animals on the planet, but some types of animals have proliferated abundantly, according to scientists, bats are among them, and they adapt well to human behavior.

"We need to find ways to coexist safely with wild animals, because they pose a threat to infection," said epidemiologist Christina Johnson from the University of California, Davis, USA.
