“My couple is going badly and we keep arguing. Can I leave the apartment to go back to my parents? The question was very serious. It was asked by a resident of Côtes d'Armor who clearly wanted to leave the nest where he was confined. On their Facebook page, the Breton gendarmes relayed some of the best requests from the inhabitants of the department.

The police received in particular the call from a man asking if he could sleep in the same bed as his wife during this period of confinement. Another wanted to get the green light to go and practice his sport. "What sport, sir?" Asks the agent. " The Peach ! " Another wishing to denounce the noisy children who were playing in the neighboring garden. Another lady questioned the gendarmes to find out "if the telephone lines were confined". She wanted to make sure before calling her son.

Out of a total of 12,000 calls received since the start of the health crisis, more than 7,600 concerned the coronavirus epidemic and in particular the containment measures imposed by the government. This represents 63% of the telephone activity of the gendarmerie operations and intelligence center (CORG), specify the police.

Since March 17, 62,350 vehicles and pedestrians have been checked and 2,459 reports have been drawn up. Nearly 500 establishments open to the public were also inspected. The coronavirus epidemic has relatively spared the department of Côtes d'Armor and the Brittany region. The numbers of hospitalizations seemed to show a slowdown in Covid-19 in recent days.
