Residents of the French capital, Paris, were surprised today by the authorities banning exercise outside the home during the day, in light of the continuing campaign to combat the spread of Corona virus in the country.

The Parisians considered it a great shock, since they have long been accustomed to outdoor sports during daylight hours as part of their daily lives, especially as they are committed to physical distance and individual sport.

Paris Mayor Ann Idalgo said the new measure will allow people to exercise while the streets are quiet.

The ban will take effect between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. local time, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, according to the BBC website.

Day sports were among the activities allowed, before today, but they need a permit similar to the exit permit to shop, and the Parisians were keen to carry this permit to maintain their daily habit, but it is no longer in force after today.
