  • Is the containment lifting soon?
  • This is what a map of France of "deconfinement" suggests, indicating the alleged dates of lifting of restrictions by geographic area.
  • But this document is a forgery: no date for lifting the containment has yet been announced, as it is likely to continue beyond April 15.

When will the coronavirus containment be lifted? If no date has yet been announced by the government and the restrictions in force must therefore last - at least - until April 15, some internet users have enthusiastically relayed, since this Monday, a map of France supposed to show the calendar of "deconfinement" by territorial zones.

"According to my information, deconfinement in 3 steps! Zone 1 from May 4, concerns the entire Atlantic coast and the Mediterranean… Zone 2 from May 11, concerns Hauts de France, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Auvergne Rhone Alpes and Center Val de Loire. Zone 3 from May 18, Ile de France, Grand Est and Corsica ”, explains a Facebook post disseminating this map.

In some versions, it carries the logos of the Ministries of the Interior, Health and Defense. But it is a false document.

FAKE OFF

The map was notably denied by the prefecture of the Hauts-de-France and North region as of this Monday evening: "A false map of France indicating" deconfinement forecasts "by region is currently circulating. It contains the logos of several government departments. It is a forgery. "

The map and the dates appearing on it have also been denied by the Directorate General of Health to our colleagues at CheckNews.

This false document had also been mentioned by Cyril Hanouna live on television last night, the host having mentioned the date of May 4 for the deconfinement of "zone 1" while specifying that he did not know if this information received by SMS was reliable.

Hats especially for having cut the passage where Hanouna reveals its source: "a sms".

"I don't know if this is good information but it is information that turns".

A work in progress "on the feasibility of a regionalized deconfinement"

This false information is disseminated while some are worried about a loosening of the respect of the instructions in force, during this period of school holidays. The only certainty on the deconfinement, at this stage, is that the government envisages an exit of these restrictions by stages, while proceeding region by region.

"It is likely that we are not moving towards a general and absolute deconfinement at once, everywhere and for everyone," warned Edouard Philippe in early April, adding that he asked "several teams to work on this issue in studying the opportunity, the feasibility of a deconfinement which would be regionalized, which would be subject to a policy of tests, depending, who knows, on age groups ”.
