With the spread of the new coronavirus, people are more likely to stay inside their homes and the number of elderly people whose physical condition deteriorates is increasing. I am calling for it.

Many people tend to stay inside their homes due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

The lab of Professor Fuya Kuno, who specializes in health policy at the University of Tsukuba Graduate School, put together a video of effective gymnastics that can be done easily indoors.

Among them, ▽ Spread gymnastics, where you spread your legs and slowly swing your arms while lowering your waist,
綱 "Tug-of-war exercises", in which two people sit in a chair facing each other and pull their hands alternately, are introduced.

It has been released on the video distribution site "YouTube" and can be viewed on smartphones and PCs, and we hope that it will be useful not only to the elderly but also to people who have increased their telework and are less likely to go out.

Professor Kuno says, "Elderly people need to be especially careful because falling muscles due to lack of exercise increases the risk of falls and fractures."
