Here are some of the additional hygiene measures against the spread of coronavirus gathered in a guide which will be distributed in the coming days in the Pays de la Loire. “We have read this guide which details the measurements a little more. I wanted the Regional Health Agency to be able to validate it, this is the case, "explained Claude d'Harcourt, the prefect of Pays de la Loire, adding that it would be distributed to all communities and elected officials from his region and available on the prefecture website.

These recommendations were compiled by a group of five Nantes scientists who discuss trade (supermarkets, outdoor and drive markets), public transport and public services. “The cashiers, it is better that they do not wear gloves, because the gloves they will probably keep them throughout their time slot […]. If a customer came back asymptomatic, coughed in his hands and touched his basket, well the cashier will recover the virus from her gloves and will pass it from one customer to another ", a explained one of them, Didier Lepelletier, who is head of the Bacteriology-Hygiene department at the Nantes University Hospital.

The products handled must be purchased by customers

In addition to this recommendation on gloves, scientists insist that customers who handle products be encouraged to buy them and not put them on the shelves. Supermarket trolleys must be regularly disinfected and, as much as possible, "organize a direction of movement in the business to avoid people crossing".

Finally, rigid plexiglass protection is desirable at the level of the funds and this also applies to public service agents who are required to stay in contact with the population. Regarding transport, it is particularly recommended to use your personal vehicle (bicycle or car) and buses and trams must be disinfected twice a day.
