Bill Gates is seeking to finance the construction of new factories to produce seven promising new vaccines for the Covid-19 virus, which needs billions of dollars.

Gates told Trevor Noah, presenter of the American Daily Show, that his charity would move faster than governments to face the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to a report by the "Observatory of the Future" of the "Dubai Future Foundation", Gates added that his charity has extensive experience in dealing with infectious diseases, so it started to confront the pandemic by supporting efforts to develop an effective vaccine. Gates picked the seven best promising projects to develop effective vaccines, and began planning to build factories to produce them.

Gates will start building factories soon, even before the vaccines prove effective, because waiting in his view is a waste of time. Gates believes that the construction of factories in conjunction with the development of the vaccine, which may take about 18 months, is a critical step in the face of this pandemic.

Gates wrote in a newspaper article that the production of some promising vaccines needs unique equipment, “Although the construction of factories to produce the seven vaccines may cause billions of dollars to be wasted, because some of these vaccines may fail and prove ineffective, but these losses are not compared to the economic losses that Trillions of dollars are estimated.

Gates and his wife, Melinda, pledged $ 100 million to support efforts to counter the Covid-19 pandemic, which includes sending home HIV testing to residents of Washington state.
