Two days after leaving Toulouse, an Airbus A350-1000 landed this Sunday morning in the Pink City, after a stopover the day before in Hamburg, Germany. The test plane brought back to Europe four million masks loaded in China, to help in the fight against the coronavirus.
The aircraft had reached the European manufacturer's site in Tianjin on Saturday, before taking off again the same day. "The company will donate most of these masks to the governments of its four founding countries, namely France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom," Airbus said in a statement, without giving more. details on the distribution.
This is the third similar mission since mid-March, after those carried out by an A330-800 and an A330 MRTT (Multi Role Tanker Transport). These first two planes had transported a total of 6.5 million masks.
