Kitakyushu City announced on March 3 that it was confirmed that three new people were infected with the new coronavirus. In total, 45 people have been confirmed infected in the city.
Two new cases were confirmed on the 3rd, two women in their 40s living in Yawata Nishi Ward and a part-time male in their 30s living in Kokura Kita Ward.
According to the city of Kitakyushu, two of them were medical staff of a medical institution in the city where a 80-year-old man from Yawata Nishi Ward, who had been infected for one day, had medical examinations. No symptoms.
At this institution, five other medical staff were tested, all of which were negative.
In addition, man of Kokurakita Ward has symptom in respiratory system and is hospitalized in designated infectious disease medical institution of the prefecture, but is that condition is stable.
As a result, a total of 45 people were confirmed to be infected in the city by March 3 and 119 were confirmed to be infected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
