A woman of the Federal Police in Germany killed her two daughters (10 and 12 years) and then committed suicide at her home in Vogtaruit, southern Germany.

A police spokesman said today, Friday, "We are most likely involved in a family tragedy."

The spokesman explained that, according to the current status of the investigations, the 36-year-old mother is the suspect in the crime of violence, adding that the police are not currently pursuing other suspects.

The speaker indicated that the head of the family is currently being cared for by home professionals. He stated that the suspect used a pistol during the killing. The motive for the crime was not yet clear.
