On December 5, 1989, Chen, a 10-year-old girl from Dongying River, Xinghualing District, Taiyuan City, was killed. After the investigation, the police identified the suspect as Chen's neighbor, Lee Moumu, but Li Moumu seemed to evaporate and disappeared. Due to many factors such as poor information at the time of the incident, lack of data, poor communication, and limitations in detection methods, the police have never been able to capture Lee.
This year, since the Taiyuan Municipal Public Security Bureau deployed a special case of murder and accumulation of crimes, Xinghualing Police has listed the "12.5" intentional homicide case as the focus of investigations. It has organized criminal investigation teams, criminal technical squadrons, and the Luohe Responsible Area Interpol Team to set up special teams The case was filed simultaneously, and related police forces cooperated in tackling the problem.
Combining with the previous work foundation, the task force found that a woman named Guo Mouping in Lucheng County, Luohe City, Henan Province, and the suspect Li Moou were highly in agreement with a black and white positive photo of the suspect. The police of the task force immediately went to Luohe Public Security Bureau to retrieve the information of Guo Mouping's family register, and found that he had re-registered his account on August 31, 2010. At the same time, it was verified that the person had a train trip record of Taiyuan to Henan Xinxiang in 2017 and 2018 Years of residence in a hotel in Jiancao District of Taiyuan City, but Guo Mouping's current address could not be implemented.
After further investigation and judgment, the police of the special case team found that Guo Mouping registered with a man in Shangcai County in March 2011, and finally determined Guo Mouping's place of residence. The suspect was successfully arrested in the early morning of March 29. After interrogation, Guo Mouping eventually collapsed and explained that he was Li Mou who killed Chen Mou 31 years ago.
