Starting from the ninth of this month, the Disney + content provided by Walt Disney Company will be available for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, through pay TV services in the two regions, and the Internet broadcast service provided by OSN.

OSN CEO Patrick Tillio said the Dubai-based network had signed a "long-term" agreement on exclusive distribution rights, but he declined to reveal other details.

The original programs of "Disney +", including the successful series "The Mandarin" (The Mandarin), will be available through pay-TV and internet broadcast services provided by OSN in 17 regional markets including Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. The monthly cost of the Internet broadcast service is $ 9.50 (approximately 35 dirhams).

OSN said it will be the first time that content for Disney +, Walt Disney's online broadcast service, has been distributed through a third party.

The deal is likely to increase competition with Netflix, for example, which has a strong regional presence.
