This series made the heyday of CBS in the United States and therefore of M6 in France: 146 episodes spread over 6 seasons which have been broadcast. The surprise announced by actress Fran Drescher is not a remake, nor the arrival of the series on a subscription streaming platform, but the reunion of the entire original cast.

And as the era is in containment, the entire cast will find themselves thanks to the magic of the Internet, reveals the magazine Variety . The actors will meet on the Zoom application, Monday, April 6, for a collective reading of the pilot of the series. The footage will be shown on the Sony Pictures YouTube channel. The objective: boost the morale of the isolated fans according to the actress.

The only thing missing from this virtual reunion is Grandmother Yetta, the grandmother of Fran Fine, played by Ann Morgan Guilbert, who died in 2016. The character was inspired by the actress' real grandmother.
