Shizuoka City has announced that it has been newly confirmed that a female doctor in their 20s at the Shizuoka Red Cross Hospital is infected with the new coronavirus. The number of confirmed infections in Shizuoka Prefecture was 13, but in Shizuoka City, all beds that can respond to the new coronavirus are buried, and the city is considering a response.

According to Shizuoka City, the newly confirmed infection was a female doctor in her twenties belonging to the Shizuoka Red Cross Hospital in Aoi Ward.

The doctor went through two years of clinical training, and when he was officially recruited to the hospital from the 1st, a simple examination in the hospital received on 31st last month revealed a suspected infection. Infection was confirmed for one day. It is said that there is no particular symptom, but the doctor is to be hospitalized at the infectious disease designated medical institution in the city from one day.

After having dinner in Tokyo last month on the 24th, the doctor was wearing a mask at the emergency department of Shizuoka Red Cross Hospital as a trainee for a total of four days from the 25th to the 27th and the 29th.

"The doctor has no symptoms such as coughs, and there is little possibility of hospital-acquired infections," explains Shizuoka City Health Center director Kaji Masayuki.

In Shizuoka Prefecture, 13 cases were confirmed infected. Shizuoka City has said that it has occupied all the beds that can respond to the new coronavirus, and plans to consider securing hospitalization in the event that infected people appear.
