With 96 additional deaths in 24 hours in hospitals in the region, the balance sheet of the epidemic was established Tuesday at 1,015 deaths in the Grand-Est region. Out of 4,246 people hospitalized, 890 were in intensive care, according to government figures.

After this increase in the number of patients, the Grand-Est should experience between April 15 and 25 a decrease in hospitalizations related to Covid-19, said Tuesday the director general of the ARS, Christophe Lannelongue. "We still have weeks of tension ahead of us in resuscitation services," he warned, stressing that the region had not yet reached a "plateau" in the face of the virus.
