The Alma Award is the world's largest children's and youth literature award and is awarded annually to Astrid Lindgren's memory. This year, the jury took a liking to children's book author Baek Heena, who will receive a prize sum of SEK 5 million.

In the justification, the jury writes:

“In her suggestively constructed miniature worlds, cloudballs and sorbet moons, animals, bathing fairies and people are mixed. The door to the wonderful is always open. It's sensual, sharp and staggering. "
